Connect your BambooHR account

Generate a read-only API key in BambooHR settings. Paste it into hiFlo. We read the data — we don't write to BambooHR.

You can run this on a sandbox tenant first. We never push back to BambooHR.

Preview the mapping

We map BambooHR fields to hiFlo fields and show you exactly what comes across. Custom fields are preserved. Anything we can't auto-map is flagged.

For complex setups (custom workflows, time-tracking), we offer a 30-minute call to walk through the mapping.

Migrate

Run the import. We pull employees, contracts, documents, leave balances, time-off history, custom fields. Documents preserved with original filenames and metadata.

Median migration time across the last 50 customers: 4hr 12min from click to "complete". Largest: 410 employees in 11hr.

Reconcile

Side-by-side comparison: every record from BambooHR alongside the hiFlo equivalent. Flo reads the diff and surfaces anything you should double-check.

Reconciliation report exported as PDF — keep for audit.

Cut over

Pick a date. We send the team an email (drafted by Flo, edited by you). They sign in via SSO. Their old BambooHR access still works during the transition window.

Most customers leave BambooHR active for 30 days after cutover for safety. Then turn it off and stop paying.

All 100+ standard BambooHR fields, plus custom fields. Preserved as written. Full edit history if available in the BambooHR plan.

Contracts, IDs, certificates, signed offers. Preserved with original filenames, metadata, upload date.

Leave balances

Current balances per leave type. Accrual rules re-mapped to hiFlo equivalents (with your review).

Leave history

All historical leave records — approved, denied, taken — for audit and reporting.

Org structure

Reporting lines, departments, locations, cost centres. Org chart rendered immediately.

Time-off requests

In-flight requests preserved. Approvers notified to re-confirm in hiFlo.

Compensation history

Salary changes, dates, currencies. Mapped to hiFlo's compensation timeline.

Custom workflows

BambooHR workflows are reviewed manually by our team. We rebuild them in hiFlo equivalents, with you signing off.

We started the migration at 9am on a Thursday. By lunch every employee was in hiFlo, every document, every leave balance. We left BambooHR running for 30 days. Then we turned it off.
